It has been said that if you cannot handle a little income then you will surely not be able to handle real wealth or even richness.


I don’t know you, so I don’t know if that statement is true for you, however, I do believe that in order to create, build and maintain a healthy income we must express gratitude and appreciation for what we have right now.

Each day as I get up, I express my thanks and gratitude for the following:

• I am grateful for the roof over my head

• I am thankful that I have an alert mind

• I still have both my parents

• I have a healthy, smart and beautiful daughter

• I have wonderful and supportive friends, both new and old

• I live in a relatively safe and secure part of the world

• And so much more…..

A healthy income can be achieved in either one or both of these scenarios.

1. Live within your means

2. Or, make more money to fit your desired means

Either option is viable as a means to a healthy income; it depends on the individual’s choice.

If you choose the first option, to live within your means, then you must be grateful for what you currently have financially and then become content with that choice and not stress about the things you cannot have because you do not have the money.

You will enjoy the things you do have once you have made the decision that they are all you really need and then consistently and contentedly express your gratitude.

The second option will force you to stretch yourself to find ways to increase your current income in order to achieve your desired financial goals.

If you have aspirations for a wealthier lifestyle then you must trade more of your time and efforts to achieve it.

At least in the beginning!

You may need to learn more skills, do more networking or even travel more, all this will take time away from what you are used to doing.

However, you must be careful not to do so in a way that will create any in- balance in the other areas of your life, such as neglecting your family, friends or your physical health.

As you make progress in your quest for more income don’t forget to express gratitude for each successful goal that you attain.

Remember that earning a healthy income is only healthy when you are able to balance it with all the important areas of your life.
